Who We Are...

We are passionate about establishing longstanding relationships between the University of Virginia Department of Biology and public institutions in our local and regional communities. We aim to nurture an excitement for inquiry-based science, as well as an understanding of the skills and experiences that underly becoming a “scientist”. We are working diligently to create an equitable infrastructure of support for ongoing outreach and inclusion in scientific learning, career building opportunities, and scientific collaborations.
